Marketing and Audience Engagement
I know that the vast majority of the ODYSSEY Media Group's funds come from the money raised by students in the program. As such, it is of paramount importance to me to market and promote the ODYSSEY to a wide audience. As for audience engagement, I write with my community in mind, and I make sure to respect my stakeholders by informing them when a story has been published.
Marketing Project
Left: HELLO: Emails I sent to friends and family advertising the ODYSSEY for the Marketing Project are shown. While I don't particularly care for the Marketing Project (especially because my family and family friends don't seem to check their emails), I did send out emails and/or discuss in-person with quite a few people. I know this is important to the ODYSSEY continuing to thrive.
Stakeholder Outreach
Right: PUT EM UP: I try to make sure that stakeholders for my stories, especially adults, know when their story has been published on the website. This makes the stakeholders themselves feel validated and appreciated, and gets the ODYSSEY Website some free traffic as well.
